GRANITE Granite Characteristics 1) Granite is stain and water resistant once sealed. All granite fabricated by Scrivanich Natural Stone is treated with a penetrating sealer before being installed in your home. 2) Granite is scratch resistant and will not show marks from daily wear. It will shine for years to come. 3) Granite is heat resistant. 4) Granite is a low maintenace countertop material. We recommend routine cleaning with a mild soap and water. Abrasive cleaners such as those with ammonia or acidic products may diminish the sealer and should be avoided. We recommend that your granite be resealed approximately every two years to maintain its brilliance and durability.
Granite Care - Your stone will be treated with a penetrating sealer before leaving our fabrication facility and being installed in your home. This sealer will protect the surface for several years if cleaned regularly. - Granite surfaces should be wiped regularly with any non-abrasive and non-acidic cleaner, a combination of mild soap and water will do the job. - Standing spills should be wiped up as soon as possible. - Avoid the use of detergents and houshold cleaners as they will diminish the effectiveness of the sealant. - Your stone should be resealed once you notice the water-beading effect has diminished. |
